Balance Your Arms

February 22nd, 2012 by admin

You are never going to have balanced arms if you do not train the triceps hard enough to stimulate them to grow.  Most people will concentrate on the biceps alot more than they will on the tri’s. This is a big mistake.  The triceps take up more arm muscle and are larger than the biceps. This goes without saying that you want to train the triceps to the max.  Use these tips in your fitness program today.

Here is another thing that a lot of people will do is that they train triceps with these little wimpy iso exercises like kick backs.  If you want your triceps to actually grow you need to hit them with a lot of weight and use low volume. Train just like you would train a muscle if you wanted it to grow.

The best exercise that you can do for them is heavy close grip bench presses. This is ,by far, the best tricep exercise out there. This one should be in just about every tricep workout.  You can use this as hardcore training for men and women both. Another really effective exercise to train the triceps is the lying tricep extension, or the skull crusher. This is another exercise that is great for developing both size and strength.

Use a spotter for either of these exercises. when you are doing heavy skull crushers it is better to have someone there to hand you the weight while you are on the bench. It will also let you really push out some forced reps that stimulate fast twitch muscle fibers. Treat your triceps like your back, and you will have good results in no time at all.
