A strong back is a sign that tells people that you are a hard worker. It is a sign of power and it is the most functional of all muscle groups. I always make sure that it is a very important muscle that is trained and that I focus on working the back maybe a little more then any other muscle group.
It may be because my back is so needed in my job that I have to be sure that I keep it healthy and strong. But I thnk it is just because it is so fun to train. These workouts are a real test of might and physical power. What else can describe the king of all exercises. The deadlift. You have to have deadlifts in your workout program that is for sure. THese build up back muscles.
This “simple” lift is the most effective strength building exercise that there ever has been man. You lift a heavy weight off of the floor and then you set it back down again. This is a great full body muscle workout. You will feel it from your traps all the way down to your calves. That is what is do awesome about this exercise. You will be building more muscle big time.
The key here is to be sure that you are being safe because you can put yourself at risk of injury if you are not performing it the right way. Use the right amount of weight for you, and use really good form. These are the 2 most important things to keep in mind.

As a rule I make it my job to keep my body in shape. I want to show my daughter that you can achieve what you want – but you have to work at it. I try to show her, through me, that we need to understand how to take care of our bodies in the hopes that she never has to deal with self esteem problems related to how much she weighs. Of course I found out quickly that in order to exercise at home and to get what I needed I had to get one that was manual. This was my only option because it was the most affordable and the only one to fit in my tiny apartment. Obviously I was skeptical about getting one that was manual – but it proved to be great.
Whether you get a manual or electric treadmill you are going to get a good workout. The difference is that you are going to have to work a lot harder when you get one that is manual. You will not be able to run on it – but you have to keep a steady pace in order to keep the belt moving.
That means that every muscle in your leg is going to be used to keep it going. If you do not move than it will not move. That also means that you have to adjust the belt so that you actually have some resistance added to it. No resistance equals no work out and that is a waste of your time.
